North South Rail Link interactive map 785× 665 pixels – Flash; Fall 2005
Summary included on the map:
This map shows how the MBTA commuter rail system would look if the proposed North South Rail Link were built according to the four track alternative.
Move your mouse over a station to see how far you would be able to travel without switching trains…
I programmed this map at Visual i|o for the Sierra Club who were/are promoting the implementation of a North South Rail Link system which would allow commuter rail riders to travel through the city without having to change trains.
I want to state that while I did develop this map into a working interactive Flash piece, I cannot claim responsibility for the visual design; the interface was laid out by the talented Scott Listfield, head designer at Visual i|o.
Finally, I would like to give credit to the talented Doug Martilla for overseeing my work—without his help I would still be trying to figure out where my actionscript syntax was wrong.
