Fire of Life poster 11 × 17 inches, two-color silkscreen print; Fall 2003
This poster was designed to promote a rock opera co-written by my roommate and bandmate at the time, Eben Portnoy.
Description of the rock opera, taken from the Fire of Life website:
The Fire Of Life, a rock opera written by Eben Portnoy and Ben Spiegelman, is the inaugural production of the Department of Energy Theatre Company. Part satiric parable, part metaphysical treatise on thermodynamics, Fire describes a not-so-distant future in which an experimental treatment allows humans to absorb energy from sunlight. Drawing equally from pop culture and apocalyptic prophecy, the play melds science fiction, Greek tragedy, and rock & roll to create a hilarious and terrifying spectacle.
